Character
Die Spree durchzieht Berlin auf einer Länge von über 40 km – vom Müggelsee im Osten bis zur Mündung in die Havel im Westen. Als Flussangler in der Hauptstadt hat man die einzigartige Möglichkeit, zwischen Regierungsviertel und Industriekulisse kapitale Zander und Rapfen zu fangen.
Water structure
Die Berliner Spree bietet wechselnde Strömungsverhältnisse: schnellere Abschnitte an Wehren und Schleusen, ruhige Bereiche in den Kanalhaltungen. Der Grund ist überwiegend sandig bis steinig, an Brückenpfeilern sammeln sich Barsche und Zander. Spundwände am Regierungsviertel und die Uferbefestigungen in Treptow schaffen künstliche Kantenstrukturen.
Nature & history
Die Spree ist Berlins Lebensader seit der Stadtgründung im 13. Jahrhundert. Früher stark verschmutzt, hat sich die Wasserqualität seit der Wiedervereinigung dramatisch verbessert – Zander, Rapfen und sogar Quappen sind zurückgekehrt. Die Oberbaumbrücke, das Regierungsviertel und die East Side Gallery bilden die Kulisse für ein einzigartiges Stadtangel-Erlebnis.
