Character
Großer, langgezogener Klarwassersee bei Himmelpfort/Fürstenberg; komplett von Kiefernwald umschlossen, einsame Atmosphäre.
Water structure
420 ha Fläche, max. 13 m, Ø 6 m. Sandige Flachzonen vor Himmelpfort, Steilkanten an der Nordwestseite, ausgedehnte Schilfgürtel um die Klosterruine.
Nature & history
Eingebettet im Naturpark Stechlin-Ruppiner Land. Die Klosterruine Himmelpfort am Südufer (1299 gegründet) ist Wahrzeichen; Seenfischerei Himmelpfort GbR seit 1990 Bewirtschafter.

Spring
Water temperature rises slowly. Perch move into shallow bays, pike finish spawning. Best time: from mid-April along weed edges.
Summer
Warm and nutrient-rich. Predators bite early morning or evening. Night fishing for eel and catfish is most productive now.
Autumn
Pike and zander feed up for winter. Large soft swimbaits & a slow presentation get the big ones now.
Winter
Cold and clear. Target species in deeper troughs. Vertical jigging from the boat or a bottom rig at dusk give the best chances.
