Großer, eiszeitlicher Rinnensee in der Uckermark mit klarem Wasser, Halbinseln, Inseln und reicher Strukturvielfalt.
Water structure
666 ha Fläche, max. 25 m, durchschnittlich 7 m tief. Sandig-kiesige Sohle, ausgeprägte Unterwasserkuppen und Steilkanten, ausgedehnte Schilfzonen am Süd- und Ostufer.
Nature & history
Glazial geformte Rinne der Ucker; verbunden über die Ucker und einen schiffbaren Verbindungsgraben mit dem Unteruckersee. Einer der ältesten Fischereistandorte Brandenburgs (Prenzlauer Fischereibetrieb).
The fishing year at a glance.
Spring
Water temperature rises slowly. Perch move into shallow bays, pike finish spawning. Best time: from mid-April along weed edges.
Summer
Warm and nutrient-rich. Predators bite early morning or evening. Night fishing for eel and catfish is most productive now.
Autumn
Pike and zander feed up for winter. Large soft swimbaits & a slow presentation get the big ones now.
Winter
Cold and clear. Target species in deeper troughs. Vertical jigging from the boat or a bottom rig at dusk give the best chances.
