Der Straussee liegt unmittelbar östlich von Strausberg und ist mit über 13 m Tiefe einer der klareren Seen der Region. Gute Sicht bis 4 m im Sommer.
Water structure
Steil abfallende Uferbereiche im Westen, flaches Nordufer mit Schilfzone. Sandiger Grund im Flachwasser, Faulschlammzone in der Tiefe.

Beliebtes Naherholungsgebiet der Strausberger. Stadtbad mit Liegewiese am Nordufer.
