Der Grimnitzsee liegt südwestlich von Joachimsthal in der bewaldeten Barnimhochfläche. Klares, nährstoffarmes Wasser mit gutem Fischbestand.

Flach auslaufende Uferzonen im Norden, tiefere Bereiche im Süden. Krautzonen bieten Hechten hervorragende Deckung.

Teil der Naturparklandschaft Barnim. Früher Fischteich der Schorfheide, heute populäres Angelgewässer.

Water temperature rises slowly. Perch move into shallow bays, pike finish spawning. Best time: from mid-April along weed edges.
Summer
Warm and nutrient-rich. Predators bite early morning or evening. Night fishing for eel and catfish is most productive now.
Autumn
Pike and zander feed up for winter. Large soft swimbaits & a slow presentation get the big ones now.
Winter
Cold and clear. Target species in deeper troughs. Vertical jigging from the boat or a bottom rig at dusk give the best chances.
