Die Unterwasserplateaus in 5–12 m Tiefe sind die Top-Spots für Zander und Wels am Scharmützelsee. Besonders erfolgreich mit Vertikalangeln und Gummifisch entlang der Kanten. In der Dämmerung wandern die Zander aktiv in flachere Uferbereiche.

History & character.
Character
Der Scharmützelsee ist mit 12,1 km² der größte natürliche See Brandenburgs. Er erstreckt sich südöstlich von Berlin zwischen Bad Saarow und Wendisch Rietz und bietet mit seiner Nord-Süd-Ausdehnung von über 10 km vielfältige Angelreviere – von geschützten Buchten bis zu windexponierten Freiwasserzonen.
Water structure
Die Tiefenstruktur ist komplex: steile Kanten am Ostufer fallen auf bis zu 29 m ab, während das Westufer flacher ausläuft. Unterwasserplateaus in 5–12 m Tiefe sind Top-Spots für Zander und Welse. Am Südende finden sich ausgedehnte Schilfgürtel mit schlammigem Grund – ideale Hecht-Reviere. Im Freiwasser dominiert sandiger Untergrund.
Nature & history
Der Scharmützelsee wurde in der Weichseleiszeit geformt und war bereits im 19. Jahrhundert ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel der Berliner. Der Kurort Bad Saarow am Ostufer hat eine über 100-jährige Tradition. Das Gewässer wird vom Storkower Kanal gespeist und entwässert über den Scharmützelsee-Kanal in die Dahme.
