Character
Der Pichelssee ist eine etwa 38 ha große Erweiterung der Unterhavel im Berliner Bezirk Spandau, gelegen zwischen den Pichelsbergen und Pichelsdorf. Er bildet zusammen mit Stößensee und Scharfer Lanke das südliche Spandauer Havel-System.
Water structure
Etwa 2 km lang, 200–300 m breit, max. 6 m tief. Direkter Wasseraustausch mit Havel sorgt für Strömung und Fließwasser-Charakter. Steile Westkante an den Pichelsbergen, flachere Schilfzonen am Ostufer.
Nature & history
Die Pichelsdorfer Fischer fischten hier seit dem Mittelalter. Die Fischersozietät Tiefwerder-Pichelsdorf ist Berlins ältester fortbestehender Fischereiverband. Im 19. Jh. war der Pichelssee beliebtes Ausflugsziel für die Berliner Bürger.

Summer
Warm and nutrient-rich. Predators bite early morning or evening. Night fishing for eel and catfish is most productive now.
Autumn
Pike and zander feed up for winter. Large soft swimbaits & a slow presentation get the big ones now.
Winter
Cold and clear. Target species in deeper troughs. Vertical jigging from the boat or a bottom rig at dusk give the best chances.
